Shooting Church events is always a challenge - low light, moving people, and moments that happen in an instant, and that's not to mention I was shooting all this in manual focus for a good chunk of the shoot.

 

I had to act fast to keep up. But no one grows in their comfort zone: capturing joy, worship, and connection as it unfolds naturally.

 

These shoots stretch my skills and keep me on my toes.

Funny story: Only after the event was I told that people behind me were trying to keep their laughter in because when I use manual focus, I use a 10x zoom preview to check focus, and it usually zooms in to the center - right up people's noses.
